I bought this almost exactly a year ago, and multiple individual rings have already pulled apart and/or lost the elasticity to keep them in place ( example in photos). That said, there is no other option I've seen that fits my canon rf 100-500 lens, so I'm buying it again.

Fits snuggly on the lens, adding an extra layer of protection. Stays in place on the lens well. Naturally, it does make the rings more difficult to turn, particularly the zoom ring, but that hasn't been a major issue for me yet. I really like the camo design and color. Looking to get a thin sticker or something for the white zoomed-out portion of the lens. Overall good quality.

When retracting the zoom what happens to the lens coat over the zoom?
The LensCoat Lens Cover for Canon RF 100-500 IS Lens (RealTree Max 5 Camo) includes an additional zoom sleeve that can be used to cover the lens section that is exposed when the lens is zoomed out. This additional piece does not allow the lens to fully retract back in when it is on, so you do have to remove it to store the lens or when you need to retract it back in fully.
