This film fits my Instax Square hybrid. I take it with me when I visit my grandchildren. My grandson, almost 4, loves how the images process outside the camera. He calls it magic. The black border lends some real drama even to ordinary shots.

I love this film as it has the convenience of being a newer fujifilm product but has the look of the old school polaroids. I used them at my wedding and continue to enjoy them for special moments. the film works best in full daylight or indoors with a flash

In June 2022 I ordered this rainbow instant film and received a box from B&H that expired the very same month, in June 2022. So I had to use it straight away, even though I had plans for it further in the future. Other retailers have sent boxes that expire at least 12 to 18 months in the future. A bit disappointing, but I still love this film. Truly beautiful.

Full disclosure: I do NOT shoot this in a Fujifilm Instax camera. I use it in a Medium Format Back for a film camera. Resolution is poor, but it's not unworkable considering it's small size. This is somewhat expected due to it being an integral film. Latitude is VERY poor. I estimate 2-3 stops of workable latitude. Highlights blow out easily, and shadows crush the same. This almost has to be shot in very flat light to see a lot of detail. I find this more challenging to meter for than slide film. Rated speed is inconsistent. Fuji provides minimal guidance for developing, and I have had to adjust almost a full stop either way depending on the pack. This film was designed for cameras that have a flash built in, and the SQ1 fires its flash for every shot. Other than that, it's super useful to proof composition and take snapshots walking around.

Why is buying 6 10-packs or 3 20-packs is a better value than this "value pack?"
Obviously, the 3-20 packs is the most cost effective. Its really about the packaging, it is more convenient to have the 60 pack but it is clear that it's a less expensive way to go with the 3-20 packs. In addition, the 60 pack will all be the same emulsion/mfr date, where as the 3-20 packs maybe a bit different, possibly having the color from box to box slightly different.

If the expiration date is past is the film be usable?
Yes, it's still completely usable. The main difference is that typically the developing chemicals in expired film might have reduced potency, sometimes leading to off-tint colors, cool effects, more grain, etc. Occasionally background radiation can fog up old film if not stored in a proper place, but I do not foresee this particular issue happening to retail-stored film.
