IOGEAR Access Pro Reviews
Good for two years
I also have one channel dead now after two happy years. It got more and more temperamental until it's finally died.
Firmware can only be upgraded via a Windows machine
I really wanted this product to work. After years of having two monitors on my desk - one for each of my Macs - I thought it would be liberating for me to clear so some space. I found this item here on B&H, contacted IOGEAR with all of my equipment info, and they confirmed that this would be a good fit. After receiving the switch from B&H I got it all set up and realized that the resolution from the monitor connected to the #1 channel wasn't as clear as the monitor connected to the #2 channel. The very helpful tech at IOGEAR informed me that the firmware for the switch needed to be upgraded...but it CAN ONLY BE UPGRADED VIA A WINDOWS MACHINE. He kindly offered to send me call tag for cover the cost of sending it back to them for an upgrade...but that was a deal-breaker. I'm returning the switch to B&H.
