GyroVu GV-USB Overview

The USB to Sony NP-FM500H Dummy Battery Intelligent Cable from GyroVu allows the use a USB power source to power devices that use a Sony NP-FM500H battery, providing continuous camera operation in applications where stopping to change batteries is not suitable. This dummy battery fits into the camera's existing battery socket and features a 40" USB power lead, and the built-in emulator chip delivers battery status data to the camera.

Proper operation of this adapter requires a USB power source with a minimum 5V / 2A output, however 5V / 3A is recommended.

    According to Sony battery comparability charts A6400 will require NP-FW50 battery. So for this camera you will need to use our A7S model: GV-USB-A7S

    The GyroVu USB to Sony NP-FM500H Dummy Battery Intelligent Cable (40") (B&H# GYVUSBFM500H) is designed for use with cameras taking the Sony NP-FM500H Rechargeable InfoLithium Battery (7.2V, 1600mAh) (B&H# SONPFM500H). Some Preston brand hand controls will take that battery, while others will not. We'd recommend reviewing the battery needs of your preferred hand control (especially since you have not mentioned what it is) and contacting the manufacturer regarding compatibility. Certainly, the GyroVu USB to Sony NP-FM500H Dummy Battery Intelligent Cable (40") (B&H# GYVUSBFM500H), if connected to an appropriate USB power source, would provide more than enough power for the Preston Focus/Iris 4024-G4.
