Applied Acoustics Systems Chromaphone 3 is a polyphonic, bi-timbral acoustic-object synthesizer plug-in with eight physically modeled acoustic resonators at its heart. It lets you mix and match strings, plates, drumheads, membranes, beams, bars, and tubes to reproduce real-life instruments or create original ones. Just turn a few knobs and become an instrument maker, shaping metal, carving wood, and stretching skins.
Chromaphone 3 combines two independent timbres (stacked or split) to create performance-friendly instruments with rich textures and spacious sounds. The plug-in comes with 1097 presets created by top sound designers and organized into 34 sound categories.
The software runs on Mac and Windows computers and is compatible with virtually all DAWs. It can be used as a standalone or as a plug-in with VST, RTAS, and AAX Native support for Mac and Windows, and addtional AU support for Mac OS X. It is also NKS-ready. The license is for two computer installations by the same purchaser (e.g. a laptop and desktop).
