More than likely, it will prevent the lid and/or lid organizer from sitting flush and closing as the manufacturer intended.

The Nanuk 935 Wheeled Hard Utility Case with Padded Divider Insert & Lid Organizer (Silver) is 7.5 inches deep. It will fit the FX6 on the side. If you place it standing up you will need to remove the top handle.
