Available for download, Overloud BHS Studio ACE is a selection of guitar amp and cabinet emulations for use with the Overloud TH-U platform. The amplifier, cabinets, stompboxes, and microphones were emulated by Big Hairy Sounds, a company known for profiling amplifiers and cabinets for the digital domain. This particular expansion library recreates the tone and timbre of renowned studio guitarist Dan Huff, modeling Mesa Boogie, Kasha, Peavy and modified Marshall amps he used throughout the '80s and '90s.
The Mesa emulation can give you both clean and dirty tones. The Modeled Kasha Rockmod is a boutique amp that can be heard on quite a few hit records. The Peavey Classic 50 offers fat and juicy 90s tones, and the modified Marshall amp gives you both classic rock and searing lead sounds.
The engineers modeled these amplifiers in multiple configurations with a wide array of cabinets, microphones, and stompboxes. There are 136 rigs offered in total, with 58 rigs dedicated to recreating classic '80s and '90s tones. In addition, this expansion library offers a new modulation effect, the MicroShift pedal.
