Available for download, Overloud BHS SOLD is a selection of guitar amp and cabinet emulations for use with the Overloud TH-U platform. The amplifier, cabinets, stompboxes, and microphones were emulated by Big Hairy Sounds, a company known for profiling amplifiers and cabinets for digital media.
This particular expansion library recreates the sound of Soldano amps from the '80s and '90s. If you're a fan of the tone of noted players such as Lukather, Lynch, Moore, Knopfler, and Michael Landa, this expansion pack is for you.
Three amp emulations in particular are worthy of your attention. The Soldano SLO-100 provides clear, robust cleans and articulate crunch settings. The tones in the Sold88 X88r* tones were profiled with multiple speakers, cabinets, and mics, using many classic Soldano amps to get the right sounds. The pack also offers the sound of a Hiwatt DR preamp with a SLO power section.
The engineers modeled this amplifier in multiple configurations with a wide array of cabinets, microphones, and stompboxes. There are 179 rigs offered in total, with 75 rigs dedicated to recreating classic '80s and '90s tones. In addition, this expansion library offers a new modulation effect, the MicroShift pedal.
