Overloud Choptones Brit 800 ZW TH-U Rig Library

Available for download, Overloud Choptones Brit 800 ZW emulates a classic metal guitar amplifier. It also provides cabinet emulations and pedal models for use with the Overloud TH-U platform. The amplifier, cabinets, stompboxes, and microphones used were emulated by Choptones, a company venerated for its emulations ported to multiple platforms.

This particular expansion library recreates the sound of Zack Wylde's Marshall JCM800 2203ZW amplifier head. Only 600 amplifiers in this series were ever manufactured, making it a rare find. This amp head takes the single-channel design of the standard 2203 amplifier and revamps the power amp for four KT-88/6550 power tubes, which completely changes the tonal characteristics when compared to the original 2203ZW.

The engineers modeled this amplifier in multiple configurations, with a wide array of cabinets, microphones, and stompboxes. There are 129 rigs offered in total, captured with Shure, Royer, Neumann, Coles, Sennheiser, and other microphones. Cabinets from Marshall, Engl, Soldano, Orange, and more have been utilized. Tube Screamers, Grid Slammers, and other pedals were used to give the user all sorts of full, blistering tones.
