Yeah, it's pricey. But, in my opinion, worth every penny. The grip looks like it absolutely belongs on my Q2M and feels it, too. With the thumb grip added, the camera feels perfect in hand. The grip protects the bottom of the camera from scuffing and balances the camera so that it doesn't fall forward onto the lens. It can be taken off -- and replaced -- so easily that access to the battery and SD care is a non-issue.

Yes, you could use the Q2 Monochrom handgrip on the Q3. It will fit. The leather wrapping may not match but that is only cosmetic. You should, though, consider getting the Q3 Wireless Charging Handgrip Leica cat # 19530 as it is perfectly matched to the Q3 and you can charge the battery wirelessly simply by placing your camera with the grip attached on a wireless charging pad (10w or higher) similar to Leica's Drop XL Wireless Charger Leica cat # 18899

Yes, the Leica Q2 Monochrom Handgrip will fit on both the original Leica Q2 Digital Camera and the Leica Q2 Monochrom Digital Camera. They made different versions of the grip as the leatherette cover on the cameras are slightly different with different textures. As such, the grip was made to match the leatherette covering on the camera; it is purely a cosmetic difference. The size and functionality are exactly the same. As long as the look of the cover does not matter to you, they may be used interchangeably.

Does the hand grip attached to the Leica Q2 fit into a Billingham 72 bag?
According to our data, a Leica Q2 with the Q2 Handgrip, should measure approximately in camera height 3.5", which is what Billingham has listed as their internal bag depth (which should be equal or less than 3.5", when positioning the camera into the bag as they picture - camera on its side, which would take the camera's height measurement for the bag's depth). We do not carry the Billingham 72 camera bag, but according to our data, the Leica Q2 with Q2 handgrip, should just fit, though it may be a tight fit.
