The BG-N7-2 Battery Grip from Vello is designed to fit the Nikon D810, D810A, D800, and D800E DSLR cameras, offering a comfortable and secure way to hold the camera body, especially in the vertical position. It incorporates an alternate shutter release button for shooting when held vertically and has a lock position to prevent accidental shutter release. In addition, the BG-N7-2 has an alternate AF-ON button, multi-selector and main and sub command dials.
The included battery tray holds one EN-EL15 battery, which works in combination with the battery in the camera body to effectively double the camera's runtime. The BG-N7-2 also includes a battery tray that holds eight AA batteries as an alternate power source.
The grip is durable and has an anti-slip rubber grip surface, with ergonomic contours for improved handling. The base incorporates a tripod socket so the camera and grip may be mounted on a tripod head, bracket, or quick release plate.
