This TRIUS PRO-694 CCD Camera bundle from Starlight Xpress features a TRIUS PRO-694 medium-format, monochrome astrophotography camera with 6,050,000 x 4.54uM square pixels. The bundle also includes a Mini Filter Wheel with a 5 x 1.25" filter carousel that allows you to cycle through five filters (sold separately) for views of planets and other celestial objects. The bundle is complete with the Lodestar PRO standalone autoguider, which will help keep your camera pointed at your subject.
The Starlight Xpress TRIUS PRO-694 Blue Edition Monochrome CCD Camera features a medium format, high resolution 'Exview' CCD chip, with 6,050,000 x 4.54uM square pixels in a 15.98mm diagonal array. It's compact and lightweight, only 75mm in diameter x 70mm long, and adds less than 500 grams to a telescope.
Ideal for portable rigs, the Starlight Xpress Mini Filter Wheel with 1.25" Eyepiece Carousel is an invaluable astrophotography companion for capturing views of planets, nebulae, and other celestial objects in targeted wavelengths using up to five standard 1.25" eyepiece filters. This is just the filter wheel assembly; user-supplied filters are required to be loaded into the carousel for use.
The Mini Filter Wheel is ASCOM compatible and controlled using the included software as well as most popular third-party Windows astrophotography software, such as Sky X, AstroArt, and MaximDL, and does not require special drivers to be recognized. Simple commands program up to five positions to set a capture sequence and to ensure that there is no confusion as to the current filter selection. A miniature DC motor drive rotates the filter carousel and is powered by standard 5V USB computer ports.
An integrated off-axis guider assembly accepts autoguiders such as SX's Lodestar X2 to feed data to the software to ensure you stay on target by making tracking adjustments in real time throughout the photography session. To connect the wheel to your telescope or integrate it into your imaging system—such as to field-flatteners, coma correctors, and other gear—it comes with a standard female T-2 ring on the telescope-dedicated side and a male T-2 ring on the camera-dedicated side.
Capture night-sky images or guide your mount through long exposures for pinpoint image accuracy with the monochrome Lodestar PRO Autoguider & Imaging Camera from Starlight Xpress. The CCD camera employs the Sony ICX829AL sensor, with considerably improved QE from earlier models and typical readout noise of 5.5 electrons. This Exview 2 chip approximately doubles the original Lodestar's sensitivity and adds nearly a full star magnitude to the minimum guide star brightness.
The camera fits common 1.25" focusers and guide scopes, and comes with an output cable for ST4 sockets on mounts. It has a 25.4 x 0.75mm filter thread. A mini-USB style USB2 port is provided for power and control.
