it's a good solid bag, well suited to what I needed it for. Since it's a small and super basic item the price could probably be a bit less than ~$50, but seems to be good quality

Perfect for storing & protecting my Canon M50 camera w/ lens in my backpack! Only flaw is that I wish it had a small Velcro close pocket on either end to store small necessities such as an extra battery or lens cleaning cloth or an extra filter. As such, those items fit loose inside the case. Overall, just what I needed (95% solution).

What is the widest belt that will fit through the belt loop?

It will take a 2 wide belt or strap. If you want to cut the seams where the fabric loop is attached to the sides of the pouch leaving just the top and bottom of the loop attached to the pouch, then a belt or strap up to 4 could be used.
