Can the cables be separated cleanly by gently ...
Can the cables be separated cleanly by gently tearing the seam between them? My speakers are far apart and the XLR's have to reach.
Gently separating the ends for this Hosa Technology Stereo Mini-Phone (3.5mm) Male to 2 XLR Male Y-Cable is not recommended.
Instead, I would suggest using this y-cable together with two ordinary XLR cables like these:
