Okay for use where shielding isn't needed. Not so great where there is lots of electrical noise.

Phase cancellation can occur when outputting a stereo signal via stereo cable into a mono input. This cable is wired in a way to address such a problem. There should be no phasing issues using the Hosa Technology #CMP-105.
