the most.I have Type IV, V and VI versions of the handle adapter. Each one useful for a certain rig build. Type V is the most adjustable but takes up more space, Type IV the most compact, Type VI in-between. I like Type V the most.

Does it really matter the right or left version? The piece seems symmetrical except the position of the knob.

You are correct, the only difference between the Tilta Tiltaing Advanced Right-Side Handle Adapter Type VI (Black) and the Tilta Tiltaing Advanced Left-Side Handle Adapter Type VI (Black) would be the side that the knob is on.
