Sigma Magnetic Metal Lens Cap Reviews
Not actually magnetic

The cap itself isn't magnetic and relies on there being a magnet on the lens side to hold it in place.
Does not work on 45mm lens

Just recently purchased this and it literally just falls off my lens. I own the 35mm f2 and 65mm f2, and their respective magnetic caps work just fine. My previous review was either not posted or taken down for some reason. Save yourself the $16 if you're looking for this. Severely disappointed with Sigma and B&H for the handling of this

Can this magnetic cap be used with the Sigma 45 ...
Can this magnetic cap be used with the Sigma 45 2.8 lens? I believe it would fit, but since it's magnetic, I'm wondering if it might damage the 45 somehow.
The real answer is this cap works with the 45mm F2.8 DG, but not the 45mm F2.8 DG DN. If your lens says DN on it (also easily identifiable by the text on the face where the lens cap mounts; the updated DG version has no text there), then it is the older non compatible version.
