This magnetic cap is only compatible with select I Series lenses featuring a 55mm filter diameter and is intended for use when the lens hood is not attached. The cap itself isn't magnetic and relies on there being a magnet on the lens side to hold it in place.
Just recently purchased this and it literally just falls off my lens. I own the 35mm f2 and 65mm f2, and their respective magnetic caps work just fine. My previous review was either not posted or taken down for some reason. Save yourself the $16 if you're looking for this. Severely disappointed with Sigma and B&H for the handling of this
