CAMVATE Top Handle Overview

The CAMVATE Cheese Handle Top Grip with 2.76" NATO Rail, in black, is a quick release top handle system that mounts on your camera cage or other equipment providing you with a lightweight and comfortable grip for improved equipment handling. It includes a 2.76" long NATO rail with safety release pins at either end, and it features a cheese plate-style anodized aluminum handgrip that is securely mounted onto an aluminum riser.

The NATO rail features two mounting slots for the included 1/4"-20 mounting screws. This allows you to mount the rail on a variety of gear with different mounting hole spacing. The top handle has an integrated cold shoe and several threaded 1/4"-20 mounting holes on the riser, as well as multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes along the grip.

Secure Attachment
The handgrip locks securely to the NATO rail and can slide off either end by depressing one of the spring-loaded safety pins, which prevents if from accidentally sliding off the rail
Flexible Design
You can slide the handle off the NATO rail from either side, which is useful if additional accessories block one end of the NATO rail
Anodized aluminum construction for strength, durability, and corrosion resistance

This handle attaches nice and easy to the top NATO rail on my rig. Feels secure and has a plethora of mounting locations in all the right spots. The rail holder is a fantastic addition.

Cold shoe stuck

I used this on a Tilta cage. I tightened the cold shoe too tight so then the cold shoe wouldn't move any more, and then when I tried to unscrew it, the cold shoe would unscrew from the handle. When i tightened the cold shoe screw back on the bolt stripped on the inside and then I couldn't get it off again. This would have been ok, except the cold shoe was locked at an angle. Too many points of failure.

Yes, the CAMVATE Balancing 1/4"-20 Mount Top Handle with 15mm Rod Clamp (B&H# CAC2487) can be attached to cages for various RED DSCM2 BRAIN cameras.

The product you are asking about is not sold by B&H so we cannot speak to the efficacy of your request. In other words, we cannot know for sure that it will work. However, 15mm/cage systems are made to basic standards so with that and the fact the screws on the CAMVATE cheese handles are in adjustment slots, we feel that this handle will probably work on the cage you are asking about.
