Bought for my granddaughter. Really likes it although she has some issues getting use to the telephoto lens. The fish-eye is her favorite.

NOT For Smart phones with multi-camera system.

Despite what they claim the Apexel 4-in-1 Smartphone Lens does NOT work with an iPhone 11 Pro which has 3 cameras. For one thing the clip won't stay clipped onto the phone when you use the 22X zoom lens, because the iPhone 11 pro lens you have to use it with is too close to the top of the phone so the clip can can't and won't stay on securely. While, I was able to get the fish eye lens to work somewhat again the problem with the clip not staying securely on the camera really ruined using it. I had the same problem with the macro lens, the clip would NOT stay securely clipped onto the camera. Even if you are able to mount it onto the included mini-tripod the lens clip will slip/slide or fall off if you aren't using a remote to take photos or videos. I do have an old smart phone with a single lens the zoom lens, macro lens and fish eye lens worked a little better but that clip also has the same problem of staying secure to the smart phone. The clip does allow you to move the lens holder slightly but there's no way to tighten it so it would not slide. If you try to attach the clip to your smart phone without the lens attached then attach the lens into the holder the clip will promptly slide off your smart phone. I spent over an hour trying this with no success at all. I even had this problem when attaching the phone to the mini-tripod. While it may work with other multi-camera phones it definitely will not work correctly with an iPhone 11 Pro. The included clip looks like it could damage or at least leave marks on your smart phone camera lens.The mini-tripod is exactly that. The phone holder is not bad and will hold your phone in place on the mini-tri-pod but good luck keeping the clip on your phone. APEXEL should have done what other smartphone manufacturers (think Sandmarc) and made a case that you first attach to your smart phone then screw the lens onto it. Maybe then this would be a worthwhile product to buy. That would have been the logical thing to do. This is one of the WORST things I have ordered from B & H and like a fool I took the box the case/lenses came in and ripped it up to recycle it so I am married to this albatross. Shame on me for not waiting until I tried the lens out with my iPhone 11 Pro. THANKFULLY, I only paid $25 on sale for this junk. I expect(ed) better quality from an item that B & H sells. SUMMARY: Do NOT buy this junk if you have a multi-camera smart phone as you will regret buying it even if its on sale. If you have a single camera smart phone I would still be leery of buying it.

How much room does the clip have to work with ...

How much room does the clip have to work with different phone cases? Will I need to completely undress my phone from its case to use the clip?

Unless you have a really thin case you need to completely remove your case in order to use the Apexel 4-in-1 Smartphone Lens with Tripod BH #APL22X1054I1. The lenses need to sit directly on the phone's lens in order to get the best results. If the lens is not properly on the phone you will get distortion.
