Mount and adjust an xARM or other stabilizer arm for use with a Steadicam with this xMOUNT and Mitchell Boom Kit from Flowcine. The mount can attach to a pipe with a 1.9 to 2" diameter and provides tilt and roll angles up to 22.5° to accommodate steep angles and slopes. The kit comes with four step-down adapters to fit different pipe diameters, and it includes two custom-cut foam inserts to secure each device into optional Pelican Storm iM2075 cases.
It features two sturdy 1/4"-20 UNC knobs to keep it secure. The kit also includes a male Mitchell adapter with a 2" tube, allowing you to mount an arm onto a female Mitchell mount. The assembly is constructed with durable titanium-plated stainless steel.
Key Features
The tilt axis is easily controlled by two large knobs. Once the sled is positioned close to the center of gravity of the rig, turning the tilt adjustment is effortless, making it very quick and easy to find the correct angle where the sled does not want to drift either fore and aft or left to right.
The xMOUNT has a +/-22.5° tilt adjustment for heavy slopes and extreme angles.
The xMOUNT comes with two clamps made for 1.9 to 2" (48 to 51mm) tubes. The clamps also have four POM adapter rings attached to exactly fit OS Products like the Jackal rickshaw (48.3mm diameter tubes). These can easily be slid out when used with normal 2" speed rails. More step-down rings will be released in the future for 1.25 and 1.5" tubes.
The xMOUNT can be mounted either on the left or right side, giving the operator a quick way of changing the setup on the fly if needed. The clamps can also easily be flipped if the operator wants the locking eye bolt screw on the opposite side.
This kit includes a Mitchell adapter. The adapter is a 2" (50mm) tube made with the exact height of the xMOUNT to allow a small and tight package that can be mounted onto standard female Mitchell mounts.
The xMOUNT Mitchell adapter comes with a stainless steel 2.75" UN Mitchell nut.
