Easy to attach. Does the job well, as it's supposed to. Highly recommended as light-control option if you have the Pavotubes.

No that will not work with the Pavotube quad bank 4-tube fixture. The grid is made to only work with this softbox,

Can the grid be removed to only have the housing around the fabric? Therefore the 100b is bordered and your able to flag and pinpoint a certain area of the subject?
No. The system is integrated one would have to cut it out.
