ViewSonic PX701 Overview

Enjoy vibrant, high-resolution games and movies at home with the ViewSonic PX701-4K 3200-Lumen HDR XPR 4K UHD Home Theater DLP Projector. Its 3200 lumens of brightness can overcome ambient light in most in-home situations, and the XPR 4K UHD on-screen resolution and HDR compatibility provide highly detailed images from compatible sources. The projector features a 1.5 to 1.65:1 throw ratio to produce 100" images from just 10.9' away from your screen or wall.

The PX701-4K has two HDMI inputs for connecting digital high-definition sources such as Blu-ray players and HD cable/satellite boxes. An analog audio output lets you connect to your sound system, or you can use the onboard 10W speaker. The projector includes an IR remote control as an added convenience.

XPR Technology Projects UHD Resolution
XPR technology combines image processing with the ability of the DMD's mirrors to shift at the microsecond level to allow each mirror to project multiple pixels per frame, creating a 4K UHD image from an otherwise non-UHD chip.
HDR Content Support
With the ability to decode HDR video signals, this projector delivers incredibly detailed video playback. Colors are brighter and more vivid, and contrast is richer and more detailed. With such amazing image reproduction, this projector displays videos as they were intended to be seen, giving you a fuller, more immersive viewing experience.
Responsive Gameplay
A low 5 ms input lag and 240 Hz refresh rate delivers ultra-smooth imaging, which is ideal for casual gaming.

There was promise of 3D capabilities. There are grayed out 3D options in the menu that still can't be used. But even in regular 2D there are problems. Anything with high contrast (black or white text) has a purple halo around it. Thought I had a defective unit but the exchanged unit still has it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing image, even straight on the wall. Noise is negligible, remote works well. The one problem, if you can call it that, is the throw distance, and the inability to make the screen bigger by using the zoom/focus. Gaming though is amazing and quick
