Celestron CPC Deluxe 925 HD 9.25" f/10 Cassegrain Optical Tube Assembly

The Celestron CPC Deluxe 925 HD 9.25" f/10 Cassegrain Optical Tube Assembly is outfitted with an aperture that balances power and portability, offering you an OTA that can resolve dim deep-sky objects and still be handled by one person. It features the proprietary aplanatic catadioptric-style Edge HD optical system consisting of a corrector plate, a spherical primary mirror, and a secondary mirror along with a set of field-flattening lenses integrated into the baffle tube. Complementing the EdgeHD system is the proprietary StarBright XLT optical coating system that improves light transmission and reflectivity across the entire visual spectrum. The combination of EdgeHD and StarBright XLT produces bright and clear high-resolution images with true color rendition across the entire field of view without distortion, aberrations, or off-axis comas.

Optics
  • 9.25" (235mm) f/10 aperture strikes a balance between power and portability
  • 2350mm effective focal length
  • EdgeHD catadioptric optical system employs an aplanatic field-flattener design that eliminates spherical aberration, field curvature, and off-axis star coma to improve resolution, sharpness, and clarity across the entire field of view–especially at the edges
  • Fine-annealed Pyrex glass reduces internal light loss to improve color, clarity, and sharpness
  • StarBright XLT optical coatings
  • Flexible tension clutches hold the primary mirror in place to reduce image shift without putting any force or pressure on the mirror assembly, keeping subjects centered
  • Internal mirror locks prevent accidental adjustment to focus, which is important during long-exposure astrophotography
  • Internal focusing mechanism moves the primary mirror forward and back to achieve tack-sharp views
  • Resolution: 0.59 arcsec (Rayleigh); 0.49 arcsec (Dawes)
  • Secondary mirror obstruction: 3.35" (85mm); 36% by diameter; 13% by area
  • Fastar compatibility allows you to remove the secondary mirror and replace it with an imaging system to greatly reduce the focal ratio for shorter exposure times and a wider field of view
StarBright XLT System
  • Maximizes light transmission through optical path
  • Improves color rendition, contrast, sharpness, resolution, and brightness
  • Broadband system provides flat wavelength transmission across the entire visual spectrum
  • Multilayer mirror coatings with layers of aluminum, SiO2 (quartz), and TiO2 (titanium dioxide)
  • Multilayer anti-reflective corrector plate coatings with layers of MgF2 (magnesium fluoride) and HfO2 (hafnium dioxide); hafnium has a wider band-pass than the commonly used titanium
  • High-transmission water white glass corrector plate limits light loss due to internal absorption
Included Accessories
Eyepiece:
  • 2" barrel diameter
  • Accepts most 2" astronomical filters
  • 23mm focal length produces 102x power
Diagonal:
  • 90° angle places head in comfortable viewing position

what is the closest you can view an object in daytime with the deluxe 925 edge HD?
Asked by: frank
It is indeed relative to the eyepiece you select as magnification is determined by the focal length of the telescope divided by the focal length of the eyepiece. That is why it is ideal to have high, medium, and low magnification eyepieces in your eyepiece kit. Acquiring an Erect Image Diagonal is recommended as well for daytime terrestrial viewing, so land objects can be seen in their correct image orientation.

Does It come with integrated batteries or do I need to hook it up to a external power station?
Asked by: Fábio
The Celestron CPC Deluxe 925 HD 9.25" f/10 Cassegrain GoTo AZ Telescope, BH #CE11008K, does not have an internal battery, so it will need an external power source. The Celestron AC Adapter - 5 Amp (CGEM, CGE Pro), BH #CEACA5, is recommended if you plan to do astroimaging with additional equipment attached. Alternatively, an external 12V power pack, such as the Celestron PowerTank Lithium LT Power Pack, BH #CEPTLLTPP, will also work. https://bhpho.to/45zntPT https://bhpho.to/4wx9qFm
