Control and manage multiple devices with ease using the SW1046A DB9 A/B Switch from Black Box. This switcher links devices connected to the A or B DB9 serial ports with the C (Common) port, transferring data at up to 10 Gb/s. Manual A/B switching buttons are located on the front panel. You can also control the SW1046A remotely through a pluggable terminal block connector, an RS-232 console port, and a front-facing RJ45 Ethernet port. A power adapter is included with three international outlet plates.

A 6-position pluggable terminal block connector on the rear of the unit provides remote control capability and accepts external dry contact closures as inputs.
RS-232
The SW1046A includes an RS-232 console port that can be used to both control the switch port connection and monitor switch status using a serial RS-232 terminal-type device.
Ethernet
Remote Ethernet control support allows you to control the switch port connection state and monitor the switch status via a web browser, telnet, or using SNMP. This device also features intelligent automatic switching capabilities, including sending SNMP traps or syslog messages for various events and errors.
