Arca-Swiss Monoball Overview

The Classic Macro-Table MonoballFix from Arca-Swiss features an 8" rail and a quick release on top that can be reoriented for standard or inline use. It accepts MonoballFix plates or rails only.

The base is a MonoballFix, so it should be used only on an authentic Arca-Swiss quick release/head that can accept the rail. To use with another head or Arca-Swiss style quick release, the 3.35"/8.5 cm connecting bracket (MFR # 042108) is required.

The Classic Macro-Table has a dual quick release allowing the use of either classic plate mounted cameras or MonoballFix plated cameras.

Yes, the Arca-Swiss Monoball Macro-Table Classic uses the better Ara Swiss style plates like the ones by Kirk.

I Just bought this, how do I use it in the vertical/ portrait orientation?

I am using it to move my camera left and right in small increments while squaring-up on architectural elements. I use an Arca-Swiss D4 head and need this configuration to work in a vertical format. I don't see anywhere on this listing or on the Arc-Swiss website that states it cannot be used in a vertical format.
