The Yamaha ADECIA Ceiling Microphone Bundle includes a white RM-CG beamforming ceiling microphone, an RM-CR remote conference processor, and an SWR-2311P-10G Dante-optimized network switch with PoE. This professional microphone system is designed for video conferencing and conference calls in rooms already equipped with speakers. Featuring world-renowned Yamaha technology, it delivers crystal-clear and consistent audio capture for highly intelligible speech and natural-sounding conversations during remote collaborations and distance learning in small- to medium-sized training rooms, conference rooms, classrooms, multipurpose rooms, or boardrooms.
The RM-CG array microphone easily mounts within existing tiles in the ceiling of your conference room and blends in with most of today's drop ceilings. It features four auto-tracking beams designed to capture the simultaneous speech of multiple speakers whether the participants are seated, standing, or moving across the room and no matter how challenging the acoustics of your room.
The RM-CR processor is compatible with Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and with all your favorite video conferencing apps like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, and more. It is equipped with various interfaces such as a USB port for connecting your computer, Bluetooth for communicating via your smartphone, and two Ethernet ports for your corporate network, remote control, and VoIP/SIP telephony. There are also two XLR microphone inputs for town-hall-style meetings, a stereo aux input/output, and a stereo speaker output. The RM-CR automatically recognizes connected devices on the same network, making audio routing easier. The Auto Mixer function automatically optimizes the mixing balance of audio input via Dante to ensure that all participants are clearly heard.
The system uses the Dante audio network standard for audio and data transmission between devices, and the PoE method to supply power. This enables you to quickly connect the microphone and processor to the PoE-enabled SWR-2311P-10G network switch using, each using a single Cat 5e/6 cable for both audio/data signals and PoE power.
Adding the Yamaha VXL1B-16P Dante PoE-powered speakers to your system (and using them instead of your existing speakers) gives you the complete ADECIA solution, with all the components working seamlessly together. The complete system can automatically recognize all the connected devices and quickly perform audio routing, minimizing your setup time. Using the Auto Tuning function, the complete system is also capable of analyzing the acoustic environment of your room (accounting for the location of the speakers, microphone, reverberation, and echo behavior) and automatically adjust the DSP parameters for optimal sound clarity.
- The RM-CG microphone can form up to four beams simultaneously to detect and track the direction of the sound source simply by the speaker speaking; there is no need to adjust the position or range of sound collection in advance. Narrowing the directivity of each beam and centering the beam on each speaker's mouth enables this system to pick up sound while avoiding the negative impact of reverberation or ambient noise. Moreover, tracking with four beams offers the convenience of not having to set the sound collection range, and it prevents clipping of sound when a person begins to speak.
- All the processing resides onboard. Human Voice Activity Detection (HVAD) and automatic beam tracking of the persons speaking ensure intelligible speech capture. Automatic gain control and auto mixer adjusts the volume of people close to and far from the microphone, while adaptive echo cancellation, dereverberation, and background noise reduction ensure comfortable communication, free from distracting sounds.
