If you're good with a soldering iron, replacing the connector sure beats replacing the microphone. The connector had all the parts including heat shrink tubing and strain relief spring.
Very flimsy metal

I had to buy a second connector. The metal used for the ground strap is a light weight metal. First connector, the ground strap broke at the connector body when I was screwing on the cover.
