The LanParte Camera Cage with 501-Compatible QR Plate & R/S Top Handle for Sony a7R IV integrates a Manfrotto 501-compatible baseplate system within the cage, making it easy to slide your camera into and out of the cage for lightweight stripped-down operation. The aluminum cage provides a protective exoskeleton for your camera, protecting it from the rigors of the production. The included top handle provides an ergonomic grip for low-angle shots or carrying the camera, as well as run/stop control via LANC protocols. Together, the cage and top handle feature numerous accessory mounting points that allow you to attach optional accessories, such as monitors, mics, articulating arms, and lights, to your rig without stressing your camera's delicate chassis.
Mount your camera on the baseplate and slide that into the cage. An adjustable tension lever lock secures the plate into the cage, keeping your camera secure and protected. While protecting your camera, the cage allows access to all the functions as well as card slots and battery compartment. The 1/4"-20 threaded holes along the sides and top of the cage provide ample mounting opportunities for optional articulating arms of other accessory mounting instruments. The 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes with anti-twist divots are located, one each, on the top of the cage and on the side, and a single cold shoe is built-in at the top for additional accessories.
