SHAPE DPLWS Overview

Add a sliding bridge plate to your ARRI-standard dovetail with this ARRI-Standard Universal Bridge Plate from SHAPE. The bridge plate is designed for use with a separately available ARRI-standard dovetail plate to balance your camera as the weight of the rig changes.

The durable aluminum plate can slide back and forth along the dovetail and locks with a locking lever. The top of the plate features rubber padding to protect your camera from twisting or scratches. The plate includes captive 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera mounting screws.

Large, Heavy and Loose

This bridge plate is much larger and heavier than it appears at a glance and won't tighten sufficiently onto my SmallRig dovetails. I couldn't figure out a way to tighten the tolerance of the locking clamp.

Heavy and doesn't lock securely

Quite disappointed with this piece. Its quite heavy, feels like a lot of unnecessary metal increasing the weight. Also the lever completely sticks out all the time which seems like a safety concern- it could easily get knocked. And lastly not sure if I have a faulty unit or not but it simply will not lock and tighten on any dovetail so it's a big paper weight.
