The Second Shooter PRO Slider Axis System features the Kessler Crane Second Shooter PRO controller and a slider motor. The slider motor is compatible with multiple Kessler sliders and attaches to them using an optional slider-specific mount. The compatible mounts include the CineSlider/Stealth Motor Mount, Pocket Dolly Motor Mount, Shuttle Pod Motor Mount, Shuttle Pod Mini Motor Mount, and Philip Bloom Pocket Dolly Motor Mount.
The controller can be magnetically attached directly to the slider motor. Using the controller, up to 10 keyframes can be assigned on the slider motor. If you later add pan and tilt axes, 10 keyframes can be set up on each of those as well. A Cat 5 cable is included for connecting the controller and slider motor, and a companion iOS/Android app lets you adjust settings and remotely operate the system from up to 200' away over Wi-Fi. Also, optional camera-specific Kessler cables, such as MFR#s MC1017 and MC1035, can be used for time-lapse and stop-motion capture.
The Kessler Crane Second Shooter Slider Motor is a pulley system motor for the Kessler Crane CineSlider, Philip Bloom Slider, and Stealth Slider. It features a quick-change pulley system on the bottom that eliminates the need for additional motors. You can choose between fast, normal, and slow motor speeds by arranging the proper combination of motor pulleys. A small-size extra pulley is included.
A Second Shooter Controller is required to operate the Slider Motor. A slider-specific Kessler Crane motor mount is required to attach the Slider Motor to a slider. The compatible mounts are the CineSlider/Stealth Motor Mount, Pocket Dolly Motor Mount, Shuttle Pod Motor Mount, Shuttle Pod Mini Motor Mount, and Philip Bloom Pocket Dolly Motor Mount.
The Kessler Crane Second Shooter PRO Controller connects to the Second Shooter Pan & Tilt Head and/or Slider Motor over Cat 5 cables included with the motors. The controller features three RJ45 motor ports, two for the pan/tilt head and one for the slider motor.
The controller includes a free downloadable iOS/Android app and Kessler Crane kOS software for Mac, Windows, and iPad (iPads only; iPhones are not supported). The app and the software can both be used remotely from up to 200' away over Wi-Fi (the software when used on an iPad). The mobile app provides additional features, including support for wireless Sony PS4 controllers.
With both motors connected, the controller allows you to operate three axes at the same time with up to 10 keyframes on each. When you bridge two of these controllers together (or use this controller with the predecessor Second Shooter Plus Controller), up to six axes can be operated at the same time. By letting you mix different keyframes for pan, tilt, slide, focus, iris, and zoom, the Second Shooter PRO Controller enables you to achieve elaborate, automated movements and a high production value.
The Second Shooter PRO Controller has an impact-resistant housing and a magnetic mount for conveniently attaching it to the optional slider motor or the Kessler Crane MagPak Battery for Second Shooter.
