Vortex Ridgeview Carbon Fiber Tripod with Pan... Reviews

Wise choice!

The quest for a sturdy spotting scope tripod with pan/tilt is daunting; different material construction, multiple options, and a wide range in pricing. With a set price-point, preference in materials and options, I searched the B&H inventory, and selected the Vortex Ridgeview Carbon Fiber Tripod with Pan/Tilt QR Head. I. Chose. Wisely. The tripod is easy to deploy with solid twist-locks. The pan/tilt head is smooth and incredibly easy to use and set. I really like the “pan” part that allows for lateral movement without altering the “tilt.” Well-thought-out engineering. The carbon legs are sturdy and can handle a spotting scope or camera system with a large lens, no problem. The quick release is robust yet smooth. I highly recommend giving the Vortex Ridgeview Carbon Fiber Tripod with Pan/Tilt QR Head consideration if you are in the market.
