Vortex Summit II Carbon Fiber Tripod with Pan... Reviews

Guess mine is defective

I like the carbon legs. But I can’t seem to get the Head to lock and stay still. It keeps spinning and my scope a Vortex razor just goes up and down as well as spinning around. There seems to be a clamp missing on the tripod which would prevent this from happening. Had an older Vortex tripod not a carbon model and it worked perfect but not this one. I give it two stars for the carbon legs and weight etc. , and zero for the way the head works.

Garbage

This tripod is frustrating and a terrible design. I bought this to replace another Vortex tripod I lost that was in the same price range and this was supposedly the replacement as per Vortex. This one is garbage.
