Compression and Deduplication
Featuring a robust Data Deduplication option, the N57 reduces storage needs by eliminating redundant data and ensuring that only one unique instance of the data is actually retained on storage media. Furthermore, data compression provides a reduction in storage hardware needs, data transmission time, and communication bandwidth, resulting in data storage cost savings. Both of these features are supported on the ZFS file system.
