Can you get power to this without having the mount/gold mount battery plate? Wondering if I can power this and the gimbal through the ring with just the bg30 battery handle on the basic ring grip? Thanks
Yes, the Tilta Power Supply Module for Ring Grip can be powered along with the Ring Grip using only the DJI Ronin BG30 Grip for RS 2 & RS 3 Pro Gimbals on the Ring Grip.

Does the D tap output also ACCEPT power via ...
Does the D tap output also ACCEPT power via d-tap, thereby powering the ring? I ask because the gold mount plate doesn't work for many people, it's poorly designed to foul the gimbal or top handle when a 'normal' gold mount battery is attached. So I would like to know if i can attach a gold mount to the ring via a basic clamp mount (so not feeding power through pins, just a bog standard clamp), then make a male- male D-tap cable and plug INTO the power supply module's output from the battery's dtap output. IF that would work, it would make any other power supply modules on the ring 'hot' for accessories. Sorry for such a long question but i wanted to give the reason for it so you understand the dilemma. Please let me know? I have like 24 Gold mount batteries so i'm not excited to switch to Vlock system just for this bladdy gimbal
Pro tip - get a P Tap extension cable and a P Tap splitter. Far easier than using this piece and a batt on the sled. Who wants more weight on the ring? Put the AB or V battery on your belt or in you pocket and power the your accessories via the P tap extension. The DJI batt only powers the gimbal and the battery in your pocket, everything else. I usaully use the cam batts, but you could also use a dummy batt. I do this all the time and it works great. I like my rigs LIGHT. Not interested in back injuries and sometimes a readyrig is just too big and obnoxious.
