What's the difference between this and the original YN685? Is it any less prone to overheating? I love my YN685, but the killer issue I have with it is that it's useless outdoors on a summer day.

What product do I buy to convert a US wall outlet to go with the power jack on the flash?
Asked by: Troy
The power port on the side of the YN685 II is only for external battery packs such as the Bolt P12 Compact Battery Pack for Canon Flashes, which holds up to 12 AA batteries. https://bhpho.to/35OKkLz
