The DLOW-55 Low-Profile Ball Head with Arca-Type QR Plate from Desmond is made with a low center of gravity for easy movement of large, heavy lenses. The adjustable tension on the 55mm ball reduces the possibility of the mounted lens or camera from flopping over, like with ordinary ball heads. This low-profile head is only 3.9" tall but boasts an impressive 77 lb load capacity. It features dual portrait angle selector notches to make easier to position heavy lenses and tension adjustment to offset the weight load.
The base of the DLOW-55 has a 3/8"-16 threaded tripod socket, and the included 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 reducer bushing makes it possible to mount the head on almost any tripod leg set. A 60mm Arca-type quick release plate and zippered storage case are included.
