Can't assemble it the way it looks

OMG where do I start? First off the directions are T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E!!! The rig can NOT be assembled the way it looks in the photo on the B & H website. Perhaps if there was an instructional video on how to properly assembly it you could. There is NO screw mount to mount your smart phone in the middle of the rig. The way the photo shows how it should be assembled can NOT be assembled that way. I would return this item but I waited too long to do so, hopefully someone at B & H Photo will see my review and will send me an instructional video on how to assembly this rig, but considering how poorly the directions are with NO actual photographs to show you how it looks I doubt they made one. Oh yeah and you can NOT use a phone cover on your smart phone. No one and I do mean no one will spend $1,500 or more on an iPhone and NOT have a phone cover to protect their investment. These manufactorers have to STOP living in 2003. It's 2025. Make the phone holders so they can hold either an iPhone Pro or Pro Max safely so people don't have to worry about it falling off. With some basic thought this could have been a great item but poor design and lack of adequate directions make this a NO BUY item!!!!! And yeah and STOP designing these boxes like a world class thief is trying to steal them! It took me a least 15 minutes to open the box without ripping it to shreads. The box is almost 15 inches long and 6 inches wide. Who is going to try and steal something that big.

Each handle has a 1/4-20 tripod mount, and so does the bottom rail. Tons of places to mount it to a tripod.

Can you use this with am iphone?

Yes, from the very smallest to the very largest. If your iPhone has Lightning only, you can use the 3.5mm to Lightning headphone adapter that every iPhone up to the 12 came with to input the mic using the included TRRS cable, or you can purchase the Apple 3.5mm to Lightning headphone adapter or the Saramonic SR-C2000 for the mic to input into the iPhone's Lightning port.
