CyberPower CP800 Overview

Keep devices powered and protected with the CP800AVR 800VA/450W Compact Uninterruptible Power Supply from CyberPower. Featuring a MEMA 5-15P input, this UPS provides eight total 5-15R outlets, including four with surge protection and another four outlets with both surge protection and battery backup. Furthermore, a USB Type-B and DB9 port provide interfacing options. Delivering an output of 800VA or 450W, this uninterruptible power supply is compatible with 120 VAC inputs. Keep connected computers and other equipment protected from surges, thanks to a 1030-joule energy rating.

The Simulated Sine Wave and line-interactive topology ensures utility-power performance in the event of an outage or interruption, and EMI and RFI filtering ensure clean power with reduced interference. LED indicators and audible alarms alert you of various conditions, including wiring faults and overloads. The rechargeable batteries feature an 8-hour recharging time, while the 6' power cord and keyhole mounting slots allow for easy installation. Included PowerPanel Personal software can be used for even more in-depth management of the CyberPower CP800AVR UPS.

Battery Backup
Supplies power long enough for equipment to properly shut down when utility power fails. Helps prevent loss of data and minimizes the component stress caused by a hard shutdown.
Surge Protection
Diverts excess voltage away from sensitive electronic equipment during an AC power surge or power spike to prevent damage.
Line-Interactive Topology
Exists when a line interactive UPS has an autotransformer that regulates low voltages and over voltages without having to switch to battery.

Great UPS, Ubuntu Compatible

I plugged it into a workstation I setup for a client running Ubuntu Studio 20.04 LTS and it showed up as an external battery/UPS right away. I think I may have installed some UPS utilities (available in the repo's), but setup was easy as could be. The beeper can be shut off--I know that's annoying for some--in the Cyber Power UPS utilities available for Linux on the manufacturer's website. You also gain some more flexibility in configuration when using their program.
