Fire Fire Hazard, Dangerous

Nearly had a house fire from this device. After smelling something wrong I powered everything down and started to tear apart everything I own. I finally identified the smell eking from this box. This power strip has been in use for almost 3 years. It’s hard to say if this failure is a long term developing issue or a recent one. My setup has not really moved or changed in the last two years though. This device had a few devices plugged into it. 3 desktop screens, a pair of presonus speakers, a desktop computer, a laptop dock, and some chargers. Nothing that individually pulls a mountain of current and even all together not likely a lot of current. The main failure seems to be at the plastic splice they have. The alarming part is that the fuse never tripped. Would not recommend. This device was nearly a house fire for me.

It's a good product. I wish it had a master off switch. Also rear 5v outlets would be convenient.
