With this black, 15 ft long Tether Tools TetherPro USB Type-C Male to USB Type-C Male Cable, you can connect a camera, smartphone, or other USB Type-C device to a computer, for the purposes of transferring data. This cable supports USB 3.0 for data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/s. This cable also features a right angle connector, which is designed to help alleviate stress on the cable connector.

If you connect a camera to a laptop and your camera is compatible with tethering, you can use this cable to help increase productivity during photo shoots. Rather than proof images on your camera's small LCD, they are sent directly to a notebook's larger, hi-res display. Seeing images in this way helps to review them for slight imperfections that you may have otherwise missed.

To help enhance performance, this cable is fully shielded and plated to help minimize signal interference. This cable supports up to 60W of charging for compatible USB Type-C computers and devices.

I shoot all of my portrait sessions tethered in Lightroom, and too many times I have had standard USB-C cables fail with my Nikon Z7ii: the connection drops and force a total restart, only to repeat the drill. It never happens with these cables. Once you are tethered, you stay tethered until you end the session. I have two with me at all times.

I used this to tether my camera and iPad together and it has been such a game changer for my workflow. Whether it's product photography or headshots, my clients can view photos in real time and make adjustments that would be hard to verbally communicate. It makes them feel more confident in my work and me feel confident that they are getting exactly what they want. They can also star their favorite images which makes culling a breeze. I use the free Canon EOS app on my iPad, I haven't tried any of the paid services yet.
