We've been using this radio for about 7 months now. It's a great looking unit and seems high-quality, but the station lock drops routinely which reduces the volume significantly; or the reverse will happen and the volume will suddenly increase. We live in an urban area so signal strength shouldn't be an issue. I regret buying this model.

This attractive wood wrapped unit delivers solid mono sound with better FM reception than most decorative tabletop radios. The tuner works beautifully and I enjoy the simplicity of use. This particular Sangean SG-116 model has an expensive looking aluminum face unlike the cheaper looking cream plastic and rose-gold faced units available elsewhere. I'm very happy with it; it looks great and is a solid buy in this price range.
