Leofoto LH-55 Overview

The LH-55 CAMO Low-Profile Ball Head from Leofoto features an Arca-type quick release system for securing a DSLR, mirrorless, or video camera up to 55 lb. With a height of 3.9" and a large ball diameter of 2.2", the low-profile design of this ball head minimizes camera movement when changing orientation.

The head offers 360° panning with an independent locking knob and a numbered scale on the panning base for precise, repeatable setups. Dual notches on the body allow 90° tilt in two directions for easy portrait shooting. Made of anodized aluminum for durability, and with a weight of a mere 2 lb, this compact head is made for travel.

This ball head features a camouflage finish for to help it blend in to foliage when shooting wildlife.

This ball head is simply splendid. It's rock solid and supports my heaviest gear without breaking a sweat (Nikon d810 with Nikon 200-500 lens). Craftsmanship is excellent, and the operation of the unit is very smooth and secure. Could not afford it's doppelganger but got this at a really right price and am definitely not disappointed. You should not be disappointed either.

Heavy duty, well made and easy to use. knobs are large enough to feel them in your hands even with light gloves on. Good value for the money and less expensive than RRS.

Which Leofoto leveling base would be the best one for this head?

The Leofoto LH-55 CAMO Low-Profile Ball Head with Quick Release Plate (Camouflage) has a 72mm base diameter, so this Leofoto LB-75 Leveling Base with Butterfly Handle with 75mm Plate (BH # LE75MMLBBFL) is a great option for it.

There's no "In the Box" for this. I think the head includes an Arca camera plate. Then when I put one in the cart, they ask, "do you want a camera plate?" Just enough uncertainty to make me buy a second camera plate or not buy. Can somebody confirm that I get a ball head and a plate for my $186?
