Does this motion control system work with the black magic pocket cinema 4k?
Thank you for your question. The Blackmagic cameras do not have a port to be able to take a shutter release cable. So you will not be able to connect the camera to the edelkrone unit for automatic shutter release during time lapse or 360 shooting modes. However, you can still mount the Blackmagic cameras to the edelkrone units to take advantage of the slide, pan, and tilt movements for video recording.

How far away from the edelkrone HeadPLUS v2 Pan and Tilt Head can I manually control it using the app or controller?
Because the app uses Bluetooth to communicate with the Edelkrone HeadPLUS v2 Pan and Tilt Head, the furthest you could get from the head without losing connection would be around 330 feet.

What are the improvements over the previous version?
1. HeadPLUS v2 has an LCD information screen and a physical On/Off button on its body.
2. HeadPLUS v2’s L-Bracket has an additional marking point that will allow you to enter more information regarding your camera’s position to the edelkrone app. As a result of this development, HeadPLUS v2 will provide better results in Target Mode.
3. HeadPLUS v2 also has pan and folding angle lock pins for straight adjustments, this is safer to use with the JibONE in hanging mode, and safer to relocate the setup on a tripod without detaching.
It is also compatible with the new vision module for automated face tracking.

Can this make smooth tilts using long lenses? Perhaps not a 600mm f4, but what of a 150-500 at the 500 end?
Yes it is possible but you will need to make sure that the payload (lens + camera) is within the weight capacity (10 lbs) and take some time to make sure that it is properly balanced. This is even more essential with telephoto lenses because their size makes it more challenging to balance.
