Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM Lens
Key Features
  • EF Mount L-Series Lens
  • Aperture Range: f/1.4-22
  • Aspherical Lens Element
  • Ultrasonic Autofocus Motor
The superior-quality EF 35mm f/1.4L USM Lens from Canon features a brilliant maximum aperture of f/1.4, along with the superior natural image quality of Canon L-series lenses. Such a wide aperture is ideal for low-light imaging and for exacting depth of field control. An advanced floating mechanism and aspherical lens element achieve extremely sharp, distortion free pictures from infinity to its closest shooting distance of 1.0'. With a ring-type ultrasonic autofocus motor (USM) and rear focus, autofocus is fast and virtually silent. A wide focusing ring provides comfortable manual focus, and the filter ring remains stationary for ease of use with polarizers and other special effects filters. Full time manual focus override enables precise manual focus even when in AF mode.

Yes it is. If you have an EF Version of the Ursa Mini, such as BLURSAM4KEF, this lens will be compatible with it.

question

Is this lens compatible with a gh5 and metaones XL?
Asked by: Federico C.
Mine is on a Canon T5. But I did want to say my biggest problem with the lens is lens creep. I sling my camera across my chest so it will ride on the small of my back or top of my fanny pack. The the lens stays extended in that position.

question

how much of an upgrade is this over the 18-55mm lens i recieved with my camera? im either getting this or the travel package by canon. if i get this i will also buy the 50mm prime.
Asked by: Anonymous
If you received an 18-55mm with your camera, then it means your camera is a crop sensor camera. In that kit lens, you range from wide angle to short tele. If you purchase this lens, you will be losing wide angle. 28mm on a crop sensor will give you close to a normal angle of view. But what you lose in wide, you gain in tele. That 135mm on the tele end will give you a lot more magnification of things in the distance. Build quality is much better on this lens and if you ever decide to go with a full frame camera in the future, this lens will work with it as will the 50mm prime. The 18-55mm would be rendered useless on a full frame.

question

I've got an EF-S 55-250 IS STM kit lens. I was thinking about changing it for this EF 70-300 IS USM lens. Is it worth it?
Asked by: Fran Q.
The 70-300 is a larger and older lens, it should give you sharper optics, being that it is made for a full frame camera, but be slower and not as good for video as the 55-250 IS STM.
