Will this drive work when connected via Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter?
No, not directly. The Thunderbolt 2 bus will not provide enough power to the drive. You would have to daisy chain the Envoy Pro FX through a self powered drive enclosure.
