Once the phone's in the grip does it extend vertically? I see a few pics like it goes up several inches like a pole?
If you know, then I believe it , but the pic with the 4 beside it, the bottom one looks extended. I know the feet are flat but still, it looks taller. I guess not

How big can the phone be to fit in the clamp?
It looks to be about 4" when extended because the diagrams show 32mm for the extended part, and then for the rest of the part that holds the phone by width, it says 70mm. So I added 70 and 32 and got 102mm which is about 4".

How narrow can the jaws can the jaws clamp down? E.g., can it hold a pocket gimbal cam like the DJI Pocket that's about 1 inch wide?
The Tripod portion has a 1/4" Universal Screw to which you are able to attach the DJI Pocket 2 on top using the 1/4" tripod threadings on DJI unit itself. The Smartphone grip that comes with the Apexel is a separate accessory that is able to be detached from the tripod. (Please refer to the last item photo that is on our item webpage.)
