Just a bit better than its rivals

There are several very good papers of this type out there, but I frequently turn to Pure White when something seems to be a bit lacking in a print. Almost always it gives me just a little something extra--maybe it's the D-Max. The texture is excellent. Subjectively speaking, all the Canson matte papers seem to get along well. I am quite happy with the P800 profiles Canson supplies and have not gotten around to profiling the papers, which might even improve matters from here.
Great Paper But Be Careful that the Size Specs are Correct

I've used Canson papers for several years and find them to be of the finest quality for printing. However, after a recent shipment, I discovered, after a stressful day of trying to center the image on the 11x17 paper, that the paper had not been cut to the proper specifications. It was 1/2 shorter on the long side and 11/16 wider on the short side. The box had lots of scuff marks on it so it may have been pulled form a pile of defective product. Make sure you measure the paper before you print! I've lived with the assumption that the paper you order is cut correctly. I brought this to the attention of B&H customer service but since this is a consumable I got the run around. I wouldn't expect B&H to fully replace the box of paper, but after untold years of purchases amounting to the many thousands, you'd expect a small discount coupon toward a future purchase. In any case, I was able to enter a custom print size in the printer software and center the image after I had used half the box and spent the day trying to diagnose the problem.

The Canson Infinity ARCHES BFK Rives Pure White Photo Paper (13 x 19", 25 Sheets) is a textured paper but smoother than many. It is smoother than the Canson Infinity Arches Aquarelle Rag (13 x 19", 25 Sheets). And it is more textured than the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Paper (13 x 19", 25 Sheets), BH #HAPRSB25308.
