The Leofoto TFW Spikes with Snow Shoes have a universal 3/8-inch thread for mounting them on the tripod leg. The stainless steel spikes have a length of 2.6-inches, which is a bit longer than the spikes that come standard with a Leofoto tripod. On the side of a spike is a hole so you can tighten them properly with an Allen key. The snow shoes have a diameter of 3.4-inches and hold up well on unstable surfaces such as snow and wet sand. The shoes are made of polyamide nylon, or hard plastic. The TFW spikes come in a set of three. It can also be exchanged with the rubber tripod feet of almost any Leofoto tripod.

Leofoto TFW Reviews
Typical Leofoto high quality
These spikes are a little on the small side but still do the job well. I wouldn't use them as sand spikes they are just too short for that but any other soft surface and they are fine. I have not had a chance to use the snow shoes yet.
Good, but not in the very cold
I purchased these earlier this year in preparation for a multi month project and have been excited to use them in the BC winter. Last weekend was the first 3 day effort and unfortunately the snow shoes (baskets) didn't hold up as I expected. Temperatures were very cold. -15C to -25C and two of the baskets cracked and shattered (see pic). Perhaps the plastic became brittle in these cold temps and the slightest of bumps caused the cracking. Once a small piece had cracked off, then further cracking appeared as you'll see in the photograph. I will likely head down to a ski store and look for some baskets that are more supple.
