When buying a lens collar for my Nikon Z 180-600mm lens, I found one that included a QR connection built right into the collar. So I immediately started looking for a strap that took advantage of the QR connection. The moment I took the Leofoto strap out of the box, I recognized its fatal flaw, cheap strap material with no padding. You would think that Leofoto would have recognized that people buy straps to carry heavy stuff. This strap cuts into your shoulder, making it very uncomfortable to carry my lens. I ended up buying a camera strap pad for cushioning. Still, Leofoto has done a great job with the QR connection. It's very well designed.

Very comfortable strap carries camera and lens easily and out of the way when walking. I do recommend a Domke shoulder pad as it will add more comfort and keep strap from slipping off your shoulder. B&H has them.

So this is a clarification on the response dated 08/16/22... It is correct that the older SS2 QD plug from PMG is smaller than a Magpul-compatible QD plug like the one on Leofoto SP-01. With that said, the SP-01 is compatible with a PMG plate AS LONG AS that plate is a newer PMG plate that came with the MAGPUL-compatible port instead of an SS2 port. Earlier this year, PMG decided to discontinue the SS2 system of plugs and ports due to MAGPUL's QD system becoming the de facto standard in the industry. (Think of Arca-Swiss.).And after that decision, they have been transitioning their products to come with MAGPUL-compatible ports. So, if you have a PMG plate made prior to this year, it came with an SS2 port, and the plug on SP-01 is INCOMPATIBLE. If your plate was made this year, it ***MAY*** be compatible with the SP-01 because some plates produced during the transition come with EITHER an SS2 port OR a MAGPUL-compatible port. The only way to determine which port you have on your plate is to insert an SS2 plug or a MAGPUL plug. If an SS2 plug locks in, the SP-01 will not work. If a MAGPUL port locks in, you're good to go with the SP-01.

Is there an adapter for this so I can use either a 1/4" or 3/8" screw?

The Leofoto CF-9 1/4" Male to 3/8" Male Adapter Accessory allows conversion between these screw sizes and could be used in conjunction with the SP-01 strap system if needed for mounting compatibility.
