Took a chance on this turntable after reading much research and review reading online, so glad I purchased it! Super easy set up out of the box, had it up and going in about 15 minutes. Flawless performance, the Ortofon 2m blue cartridge is a great compliment to this table. The Direct Drive system is completely quiet, and I absolutely love that the tonearm lifts automatically at the end of a record and stops the platter from moving. I would highly recommend this turntable to anyone!

what is the degree of difficulty in switching caetridges or nedles when playing 78 rpm records?

The Dual Electronics CS 618Q Manual Three-Speed Turntable (Walnut Veneer), BH # DUCS618QWLNT, has a quickly removeable headshell. With an extra headshell with a mounted cartridge and 78 RPM stylus (conical type), changing out the heads should be swift and easy. Slight adjustments to tracking force and anti-skating may be necessary.
